Bug Fix

Weirdly enough, if you searched for locomotives in the UK, you also got locomotives in the Ukraine and vice versa. For some reason, those many years ago, I apparently thought it was a good idea to do a partial match on country name when searching. It wasn't. I fixed it. Sorry 'bout that.

So, two modules were reprogrammed to treat the two areas separately, a City of Berlin flag was added so tha...

An Old Locomotive, Rediscovered

This morning, while working with Google Earth Pro, I found the location of Humberstone 0-6-2T No. 11 in Humberstone, Chile and set about adding a map and satellite view for the locomotive. While using Google Street View to look around the area at ground level, I discovered a second locomotive, which...

The Mysterious Red +

Since I've already received several emails about the mysterious red + plus.jpg which appears on the locomotive display page, fear not. It will shortly be attached to a menu which will allow you to do several things: First, you'll be able to submit a photo for a locomotive, even if it already has one...

Added Functionality

A number of site visitors have complained that it is difficult, if not impossible to know how recent the information being presented about a locomotive actually is. And after some thought, I completely agree with them, and have modified the site to gather and display information appropriate to this ...

Corrections

Corrections: For reasons unknown, we had the city of Haapamäki located both in Finland and in Estonia. Finland is correct and the database has been corrected for the 71 locomotives kept there. The city of Krasnovka in Russia is located in the Kaliningrad Region. We had it in Kaliningrad, Rostov and ...

Link Submission Problem

My apologies to our visitors who've attempted (and failed) to contribute links to websites related to locomotives in our database. A typographical error in the program code I made several weeks ago caused a 500 error whenever you tried to submit a link. The problem has been fixed.
