In May 2008, the National Railway Museum marked 40 years since the end of British Railways' steam operations with the '1968 And All That' exhibition. 92220 appeared outdoors, but not in steam, sadly.

Photographed at Crewe locomotive works on 16th August 1967 where it was completing it's restoration. This is one of those locos that was destined for the museum from the day it was completed in march 1960.

Standing, as it has done for many years, in the Great Hall of the National Railway Museum, British Railways' last built steam locomotive still looks a potent machine as it looks towards the turntable in the former York roundhouse.
