The 19 will be open for visitors starting on May 10th, open for tours on Saturday from 10am-4pm throughout the summer and into early fall. The Locomotive has been given a few touch ups and work is being undertaken to make her look more eye catching and historically correct for visitors.

Saturday (October 28th) is the last day of the season. The locomotive will be closed for the winter, reopening sometime in May 2018. Traditionally the loco is open for guided tours on Saturdays during the summer, usually from 10am-4pm, for a small fee to cover the upkeep of the train. All the carriages are air conditioned and all but the Interurban 2102 are completely restored, 2102 is needing seats, and other finishes, but is climate controlled. This all comes from a volunteer.

The engine is now roped off, but still a great tour, it needs asbestos removed and is having that done. Great to come see trhe other cars, and see her. There is a plan to remove boiler jacket. Jacob Woods (Volunteer at RR Historical Center)

They say that it is not, a young volunteer just wants to restore it and run it to a town called Ninety-Six & Back

This engine is in beautiful cosmetic condition. I live in Greenwood and when the museum is open we normally go 3 to 5 times a year. The cab is open and you can get in and ring the bell. The valves and throttle are in fair condition. She is hooked up to some coaches and an old observation car that needs some TLC. She is crowned with a shiny silver smokebox and the classic workhorse appearance: 8 high drivers with spartan paintscheme including white tires and lettering, red windows and a green cab interior.
