Shay #11 has been out of service since 2001, requiring the full 1472-day/15-yr FRA inspection and required repairs. It is on display at Mineral, WA.

Locomotive has been out of service for some time. Restoration is scheduled to begin next spring, and it looks like it will proceed quickly.

Engine #11 is now out of service, stored inside the Mineral shop along with number 5 pending boiler work.

This is the only geared steam locomotive left in operating service on the Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad.  Climax #10 and Heisler #91 are out of service getting exstensive boiler repair.
