This fine locomotive is nowadays in the caring hands of Austrian Railway Preservation Society ÖGEG and is based in Ampfelwang. This machine runs under No. 57 2770 and has also operated main line tours in Germany.

The locomotive was buying by OEGEG and in 2004 the locomotive leave Romania.Today he is located in Amstetten-Austria.The number was change:657.2770

I forgot to inform you, that the locomotives in now numbered as 657.2770 following the numbering scheme of Austrian Federal Railways.

CFR 50.770 has been sold to the Austrian Society for Railway History (ÖGEG), which had it restored to working order at Cluj in 2003.

Now the loco is stationed at the societies new round house at Ampflwang (near Voecklabruck/Austria). The locomotive is regularily being used in tourist traffic. See www.oegeg.at
