Those engines do deserve to be running again. Even though they are not in good shape, they do have potential.

Regarding the builders plate for #400, the museum has recently acquired one of the plates. If you have the other, we would definitely be interested in acquiring it also. Of course, it may be that the one that we acquired came from you after all, in which case we thank you.

Would the Museum be interested in the original Builder plate (#51175) for your locomotive 400?

The engine in this picture is R.R.&G. #106, not Crowell #400 which is stored outside

Again with my recent visit to the museum I was able to see all three locomotives that the Southern Forest Heritage Museum owns. This particular locomotive still rests in the same place as the photo posted but the old shed is now gone and a new shed is currently being built around it. They have also shored up the railbed around the locomotive due to its higher location than the surrounding landscape.

The museum also has several other pieces of railroad equipment that was used by the old lumber company: a log loader, a log skidder, and what looked like an old log flat car that has been overtaken by the forest.

I AM LOOKING FOR ANY INFORMATION I CAN FIND ON MONROE SIMON WHO WORKED IN THE OFFICE OF THIS COMPANY IN THE 1940S THRU THE 1950S. HE WAS MY GRANDFATHER AND HE DIED IN 1956. IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
