297.401, formerly DRB (1941 - 1945) and ÖStB (1945 - 1953) No. 97 401, and only ran as ÖBB No. 297.401 (1953 - 1968). Owner Republik Österreich, Leihvertrag (leased to) ÖBB-Holding AG., Standort Heizhaus, Strasshof but out-stationed at Vordernberg Markt.

297.401: I believe that this 2-12-2T was one of the two most powerful rack tanks in Europe although the old 0-6-2RTs outlived them on the line. It is displayed at Vordernburg Markt station.
