The company was The Southern RAILWAY! Not all US companies took the title "Railroad" and the Southern was one that did not. Take a look at their herald. Please check your facts before adding comments.

385 is now located at the Whippany Railroad Museum in Whippany, NJ and has been cosmetically restored to its original Southern livery.

If it was her "southern heritage", it would be green, probably obscured by that jersey air.

On the Southern Railway 385, there is a picture of it being moved, in the may 2008 issue of Railfan & Railroad. It seems to have aquired a 'red' cab roof; Perhaps it's Southern heritage is trying to show. Good luck 385.

MCC 385 is now on the Morristown & Erie Railway destined for the Whippany Railway Museum. Today's Daily Record had an article about it.

I would guess that maybe the North Carolina Transportation museum might wan't her. The Tennessee Valley maybe would like to have her even.

I've contacted the owner, now of her. She is for sale. I will try and get some pics of her and add them to the ablum. Anyone who knows someone or musuem that may want her please contact me! Let's get her in a place where everyone can see her.

Locomotive is located in Harrison New Jersey on former DL&W tracage.

385 was orig built for US ARMY, later sold to Virginia Blue Ridge, then to Morris County CEntral and used with another ex-VBR engine (The 0-6-0 at Whippany)

This locomotive also operated on the North Carolina shortline YADKIN RAILROAD as their # 385.
