Built as DRB No.52.5374 by Krenau, Chrzanów 1407/1944, it continued to carry that number with the DR until 1967. It was then re-constructed by AW Stendal, emerging as DR Rekolok No.52 8196 which it carried for the rest of its working life, through to purchase by ÖGEG, direct from its previous operator in Germany.
