44.1614 emerged from the Oberschlesische Lokfabrik Krenau (Chrzanów), Poland in 1943 as DRB No. 44 614, becoming DR No. 44 0614 (1945 - 1970) and DR No. 44 1614 from 1982. The locomotive was converted to burn oil, possibly 1970 - 1982.
