Correction to my note; the 1871 had 11x12 cylinders, not 11x16.

This engine was builder No. 2267, built new for Great Western in 1939. It was used at Gering, NE, not Bayard. The 2267 had 32" drivers, 12x16 cylinders and weighed 25 tons. No. 1871 was slightly smaller, first used at Wheatland, WY, later moved to Bayard, NE to cannibalize for parts. The 1871 was later scrapped. Cylinders were 11x16.
