C30.91 was built by Borsig, Berlin in 1930, construction number 13950. Originally delivered to Staatsspoorwegen (SS) as number 1791, it became PJKA C30.91 following Indonesian independence in 1945. One of a batch of three from Borsig, c/ns 13950-2, SS nos. 1791-3, PJKA C30.91-3.
