This was the first steam engine to visit the Kutztown-Topton Branch, now the Allentown And Auburn Railroad sine about 1949. I also got a first taste of what it is like to do the work that is necessary to keep a steam engine running. The next year, the 126 came to the Railroad, and that was the first year that I got to actually get behind the controls of a steam locomotive.

Viscose Company #6 is alive and well and operating in Western New York. #6 pulled 3 excursions on the New York & Lake Erie Railroad in the fall of 2007. During the summer of 2007, the 0-4-0 visited the Lorraine & West Virgina Railway in Wellington, Ohio. Owner Scott Symans is open to invitations from other organizations by contacting him at las_vegas@verizon.net.  Viscose Company #6 was a huge hit at the annual Western New York Railway Historical Society Train Show held in Nov. 2007. Close ups of the locomotive can be found at http://www.trainweb.org/wnyrhs/viscose.htm
