My uncle was a fireman on this loco, in the summer of 1954. I can remember my dad handing me up to my uncle in the cab of this loco in Helena Mt.. Every thing was OK till they blew the whistle, then I started bawling,my uncle handed me back to my dad, and that was the end of the ride that I never did get to take. I was 4 years old at the time and did not realize what I missed out on!
