The Middle Fork Railroad Heisler #7 was not purchased by the Cass Scenic Railroad and is not owned by the Durbin and Greenbrier Valley Railroad - although it is currently located at the D&GV facilities in Durbin, WV. The locomotive is owned by the West Virginia Railroad Museum. Plans are for eventual restoration - however, at present time the museum is focusing on the restoration of former West Virginia Northern 2-8-0 #19, leaving the Heisler on the back burner for now.
