She needs a new boiler, because her original wont comply with USDS and FRA standards.

The 6 is not operational and is not being worked on. It will run again at the earlyest 2008. It is third in line for restoration after the Chiriqui Land Co. No. 46 2-6-0 and Quincy & Torch Lake RR No. 6 2-8-0 .

I recently visited the Pine creek RR and was surprised to see No. 6 on wooden blocks outside the shop with its trucks removed...so as of now I believe she is no longer operational
