Dale W Fickés explains the history and re-numberings of the loco: Delivered to the NÖLB as No. 51 in 1906, it was renumbered Mh.2 (1908 - 1922), then owned by the BBÖ (1922 - 1938). It became DRB No. 99 1112 (1938 - 1945) and subsequently ÖStB (1945 - 1953) whereupon the ÖBB renumbered it 399.02 (as depicted working to Gross Gerungs in 1987), then No. 399.002, before being transferred to NÖVOG in that identity during 2010. It is now based, once again, in Gmünd, Austria
