This locomotive was delivered to the DRB as No. 86.501 in 1942, subsequently running in that guise for the DR 1945 - 1992, excepting 1970 - 1982 when it received the computerised number of 86 1501-5.

86.501 is not operational since her boiler ticket expired by end of 2004.

The locomotive is on disply at the railway museum at Ampflwang (near Voecklabruck), which is run by the Austrian Society for Railway History (Oegeg).
