The ex Port of Par, Bagnall built 0-4-0ST Works No. 2572 "Judy", (that was one of the inspirations for the famous Thomas the Tank Engine characters Bill and Ben the tank engine twins) is visiting the Severn Valley Railway for the first time for their Spring Steam Gala from the 16th to 19th of April 2026.

The ex Port of Par, Bagnall built 0-4-0ST Works No. 2572 "Judy", will be visiting the Dean Forest Railway for the very first time for their upcoming Spring Steam Gala weekend on the 28th and 29th of March 2026.

The ex Port of Par Bagnall built 0-4-0ST Works No. 2572 "Judy", is making its first visit to the Kent & East Sussex Railway for their Dwarves of Steam Gala weekend on the 26th and 27th of April 2025.

The former Port of Par Bagnall built 0-4-0ST Works No. 2572 "Judy" is now back operational again as her overhaul is now complete and the locomotive will enter service at the Bodmin & Wenford Railway during their Santa Specials over the Christmas season.

The former Port of Par Bagnall built 0-4-0ST "Judy" will be visiting the Plym Valley Railway for the winter season to help on Santa Specials there.

How low can you go? If you could go Limbo dancing in a steam loco, this would be your natural choice. At only 7 feet 6 inches tall, Judy, and sister (brother?) loco, Alfred, are no higher than the top of a UK standard 5 plank open wagon. That means waist high to most UK locos, knee high to most European locos, and somewhere around mid calf height to a US loco. The reason for this stunted growth was a very low bridge on the entry to the Cornish port of Par, which is still a China Clay export port, still rail served. In getting under the bridge every day they were Limbo dancers in a way.
