The locomotive was built for the German Army during WWI as fleet No. 968 in Berlin, and was purchased by railway contractor, Ruwenhorst & Humbert in France the following decade as their No. 35. It was retired in 1968 and purchased privately, twice, sometime bearing the number 2, before moving to Wales in 2001. It was built by Maffei, NOT K-M.

The Vale of Rheidol Railway website lists this locomotive (by C/N) as a part of their museum collection. Little information is provided, but the website says that this locomotive was built for and served on the Deutsche Feldbahn (DFB) and not the Greek Army as indicated here. Anyone with further information and/or confirmation please let us know
